William J. Lederer and Dr. Don D. Jackson (1968) delve into the primitive period which they concluded to be over a million years ago to expound on the mirages of marriages. In their study, they delve into the myth of marriage based on the false assumption that most married people love each other and that love is necessary for marriage. It seeks to debunk the assumption that men are different from women which is the cause of marital troubles. Also that the advent of children automatically improves a potentially difficult or unfulfilled marriage, that loneliness will be cured by marriage and if you disagree with your spouse it will cause a bad marriage.
