Jesus Christ as an Evangelist
Jesus is our model of evangelism. Everywhere he went, he won souls to the kingdom. The woman at the well. John 4:1-25 He brought good news everywhere he went, the gospel of salvation. He zealously spread the need to repent and embrace the gospel, and therefore take it to other people and nations. Before you were born, I knew you and called to the nations Jerimiah 1:5.
Jesus Christ as an Apostle and High Priest of Christians
He is an apostle because he was sent by God the Father to be his spokesman and revealed later he is an apostle because God speaks through him. It says so in Hebrew 3:1 in NIV. For clarification, an apostle is someone sent to the world. God sent Jesus Christ to die for sinners after spreading the gospel of salvation on Earth to humanity.
Jesus Christ as a Prophet
His disciples on the road to Emmaus described him and Jesus of Nazareth, who was a prophet mighty in deed and word before God and all the people (Luke 24:19.)
The miracles he performed and his powerful teachings are evidence of the fruit of the spirit of God in his ministry, much like the old testament prophets, He foretold the future such as his death and resurrection which can be found in Matthew 17:22-23; 20:17-19. Peter’s demand of him and so many other predictions came to pass.
Jesus Christ as a Pastor
In John 10:16, Jesus says there shall be one flock and one pastor. Establishing Jesus Christ as the one and only “Good Pastor”. (John 10:11)
God the Father is the source of all authority and from him, it flows to Jesus, the Son. He says of himself “I am the good shepherd.” John 10:11-18 (NIV)
Jesus Christ as a Teacher
He was the greatest teacher. He taught for the sake of molding character, conduct, and life. He was an unusual teacher. He taught in parables, through events, and images. He used symbols in Matthew 18:12-14, the lost sheep, Matthew 13:31-32 a mustard seed, and Matthew 13:45-46 a pearl of great value. He used similes to describe the Kingdom of Heaven
