In the Bible, Jesus Christ was preordained, announced, and publicly addressed as the “called” to save humanity from damnation.
Isaiah 9:6 foretold the coming of Jesus when it stated, “For a child is born unto us, a son hath been given unto us and the government is placed on His shoulder, and His name is called, wonderful, counselor of the mighty God, of the everlasting Father, the prince of peace.
Moreover, The angel Gabriel foretold who Jesus Christ was when speaking to Mary, the mother of Jesus in Luke 1:31-33, “You will conceive and give birth to a son and you are to call him Jesus. He will be great and will be called the son of the most high. The Lord God will give him the throne of His father David. And he will reign over Jacob’s descendants forever, his Kingdom will never end.”
Additionally, Luke 2:11-12 says, “Today in the town of David, a savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord. This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.”
Thus Matthew 3:17 concludes what has been foretold: “And a voice from heaven said ‘This is my son whom I love; with him I am well pleased.’”
Jesus eventually came. Lived among humanity, was crucified and buried. Then on the third day, he rose from the grave, showing himself as the living messiah. Today, he is seated on the right hand of God mediating for humanity in heaven.
