It is now the second month of 2025, and I want all my readers to reflect on Psalm 100. It says we should “Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth,” “Worship the Lord with gladness, ” “come before him with joyful songs,” and “know that the Lord is God.”
He who made us, and we are his; we are his people, the sheep of his pasture. This is who God is, the creator of heaven and Earth and all in it. This is very clearly said in Psalm 121:2 and Revelation 4:11. Continuing with Psalm 100:4, the Psalmist encourages us to enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name. The Lord is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations.
If this awareness is focused on throughout the year, we will all have a better relationship with God and our communities will be the better for it.
