When our lord Jesus Christ was leaving the Earth, he gave us his charge to go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the holy spirit—teaching them to obey everything he has commanded. He surely will be with us to the very end of age. (Matthew 28:19-20)
In 2 Timothy 4:21, Jesus said, “Teach the word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke, and encourage – with great patience and careful instruction.” This is the attitude all believers must exhibit in their ministry to be a doer of the word indeed.
He however did not leave us to do the work alone. In Hebrew 13:15 he says, “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.” and proves his words again in John 14:18 when he states, “I will not leave you as orphans.” He told us that “whoever listens to you, listens to me; whoever rejects you, rejects me; but whoever rejects me rejects him who sent me.” The Lord our god is with us every step of the way as we help spread his lessons. The seventy-two disciples Jesus sent out to let others know about his name returned with joy, proudly stating that “even the demons submit to us in your name.” (Luke 10:17) They were told, “Do not rejoice that the spirits submit to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven.” No matter what, his promises are sure.
