Is Marriage Meant for Everyone?

If we look at the Bible, there are instances where this question is addressed. In the book of Isaiah 54:5, we first come in contact with a mention of a type of marriage. Isaiah made us understand that there are some people whose husband is their maker and that the lord of hosts is his name. 1st Timothy 5:14 also made us realize that he advises younger widows to marry. Luke 2:36-38 also gave us an example of a prophetess named Anna who lived with her husband for seven years before she became a widow and thereafter spent the remainder of her life until 84 years had passed and she still had not remarried. There is another school of thought that marriage is only possible if one finds a good partner, and if not, do not marry because marriage cannot be forced. It is a lifetime experience

Milton Denison says that if you find a woman you wish to be with, then marry her, especially if you want a family. This will prevent fornication.

Tongu says marriage is not for all, there are those called to marriage and those called to the vocation. Those called to marriage should stay in it and nurture it according to God’s design, mercy, and grace. Those who are called to a field to serve him through spreading the gospel, let them do so. God has given us freedom of choice, the problem with humanity is that we want both at the same time. This explains why we have greed and evil daily in society.
