Jesus Christ goes by many titles. Some of them are God, Saviour, Lord, High Priest, Son of Man, Master, and Rabbi.
As God, he wants us to yield our inner being and outward appearance to Him. The totality of who we are is stated in James 3:17 and Psalm 37:7-17. Acts 17:28 says; “For in Him we live and move and have our being.” Therefore, we must seek to please Him in our thoughts, actions, and our plans for the future, as it relates to our work and relationships.
Proverbs 3:5-6 enjoins us to “trust in the Lord with all our heart and to lean not on our understanding; In all your ways to submit to him.”
1 Corinthians 8:6 made us understand that there is only one God, and that is Jesus Christ through whom we exist.
Isaiah 7:14 comments on the birth of Jesus Christ, where he was named Immanuel. To which means God with us, when translated. In Isaiah 9:6, He is referred to as Mighty God after all is said and done. “For us, a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government shall be upon His shoulder, and His name shall be called wonderful, counselor, Mighty God, everlasting father, Prince of Peace.”
In Conclusion, Jesus himself said in John 10:30 that, “I and the Father are one.” My exposition on the title of Jesus Christ continues on July 24. Thank you all for reading.
