Why Jesus Christ Came to Earth

Today’s blog post seeks to discuss some of the reasons Jesus Christ came to Earth. There are various scriptures expounding on Jesus’ mission on Earth. Some of them are:

To save the lost. That Christians will have abundant life, He came to serve, to proclaim the good news, and to bear witness to the truth. Now I will delve into the expansion of these reasons.

The enemy of God’s children seemed to have the upper hand when Adam lost the Earth to the devil. Based on what happened in the Garden of Eden, (Genesis 2:8) and the banishment of Adam and Eve from the garden. Then a void was created by their dismissal from the Garden of Eden, (Genesis 3:23) Jesus Christ came to fill the void. There was a need to get the lost back to God, according to Genesis 3:15.

Ephesians 4:9 also states that Jesus Christ came to redeem all who accept His saving grace. Today he is now a pathway to eternity.

In John 10:10b account, Jesus Christ speaking of himself said, “I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.” Mark 10:45 stresses the same point that “He came to give his life as a ransom for many through His service.”

Matthew 5:17 on his own part said Jesus has the keys of death and Hades. Meaning that he came to destroy the work of the devil. To set the captives free. That means doing His Father’s will. “Which is not to lose none of all those He has given him”, as explained in John 6:38-40. He also came to bear witness to the truth revealed in his speech to Pilate in John 18:37.
