A miracle according to the Bible is an act not fully explained by natural forces, but attributed to supernatural forces. Jesus’ ministry is one filled with the miraculous. Today I will discuss some of them in this blog post.
In John 2:1-11 Jesus performed a miracle at Cana in Galilee, where he turned water into wine. He had been invited to the wedding but there had been a problem, the wine that was to be served had run out. Though like he said; “My hour has not yet come” He made provision for them anyway.
Jesus performed another miracle where the lame walked (John 5:8) and also healed the centurion servant and additionally, marveled at the centurion at his faith Luke 5:17-39. Mark 2:4 recorded the healing of a man let down through the roof of a house. Jesus saw their faith and forgave the man for his sins. Furthermore, Christ healed the son of a royal official in Cana of Galilee (John 4:43-54).
Jesus healed a madman of Gadarenes as stated in Matthew 12:22-23, and cured a man of his blindness and muteness, allowing the man to be able to talk and see. Jesus has walked on water (John 6:9b), stilled the wind (Mark 4:39), and fed the multitude with bread and fish.
Today, as John 14:13-14 says, “And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the father may be glorified in the son. You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it.” Jesus is capable of doing so much for us, but only if we believe in it (Hebrews 11:1)
