According to dictionary.com, supernatural provision refers to God’s involvement in the physical world to supply people’s needs, even when it seems impossible. It is considered to be unusual, unlimited, and an accelerated supply from heaven that goes beyond scientific understanding and laws of nature. This is the promise of God to all believers.
We see an example of this promise in Philippians 4:19, which states, “And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of His glory in Christ Jesus.”
However, there is a prerequisite for supernatural provision. Proverbs 3:9-10 states, “Honor the Lord with your wealth, with the first fruits of all your crops; then your barns will be filled to overflowing, and your vats will brim over with new wine.”
We could see a demonstration of supernatural provision displayed by Jesus Christ when He used five loaves of bread and two fish to feed a multitude in Luke 9:15-17. In the end, twelve basketfuls of broken pieces were left over.
2 Timothy 3:1-5 2 Timothy 3:1-5 says, “But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God. Having a form of Godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with such people.” We are at such times, and now more than ever we should look unto Jesus trusting him always. A good example of this stance is in 2 Chronicles 20, when three nations rose against King Jehoshaphat of Judah, he and all his team prayed concluding thus that, “We do not know what to do but our eyes are on you.” God caused their enemies to turn against themselves and made the people of Judah victorious.
