“So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” Isaiah 41:10 NIV
This scripture is given so that we will experience the first part of 1 John 4:18, “There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.” Trust in God to take you through challenging times.
Acts 2:43 says that instead of fear, we should be filled with “Awe.” Fear is the enemy’s tool to stop us from using our faith to receive from God. “For the spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love, and self-discipline.” 2 Timothy 1:7.
“To fear the Lord is to hate evil,” (Proverb 8:13) and “Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather be afraid of the one who can destroy both soul and body in hell,” (Matthew 10:28) Jesus said, “Do not be afraid. I am the first and the last, I am the living one; I was dead, and now look, I am alive forever and ever! And I hold the keys of death and Hades.” I am encouraging all believers to have faith in the saving grace of Jesus Christ, especially with what is happening today. There are threats of unbearable issues; one should only believe in the word of God.
